About ONE OK ROCK

Lead vocalist TAKA is a former member of the Johnny's Jimusho idol group NEWS. Members Toru and Ryota are former members of the rapping break dancing group HEADS. They released two indies mini-albums and made their major debut with their single, Naihi Shinsho in April of 2007.

The band started when Toru, Alex and Ryota started it in high school. Shortly after the creation of the band Taka joined the group as the main vocals.

The group came up with the name "ONE OK ROCK" because they would book studio time at One o'clock. The Japanese pronunciation of ONE OK ROCK (ワンオクロック)is wanokurokku which sounds like One o’clock.

Winterim

At my school we have a special program called "Winterim." It's a 3 week period where the students take courses, internships, and trips abroad outside of our normal curriculum. The freshmen and sophomores take courses at school that involve many different topics such as: fencing, french cooking, fashion history, music across the ages, the biology of love and many more!! Then Juniors and Seniors are required to take an internship somewhere and one point... then there are planned trips abroad!! So. This year I am going to China for Winterim!!!! ^^

It costs so much but in the end the experience will be worth more than the money! ^^

Vegie week~

So I decided to be a vegetarian for 1 week a month! and this week is my veggie week!!
I just decided this randomly... but I think its good in terms of my health and for the environment. I'm not trying to lose wieght like crazy but I think being a vegetarian for a week will just help me think about what I eat. So yea~ Go Omnivores!! ^^ plus a lot of tofu will be in my diet this week~~ ^^

Yay! so 2NE1 is my all time favorite girl group. They're fierce; they can sing; dance; have charisma; and are waayy different from other girl groups.

haha. I play the violin and do chamber orchestra at school~ I use to do an outside orchestra called Blair Reperatory Orchestra, but i decided not to do it this year~ ^^ its not all that great playing a classical instrument but its not bad either...but i really do have to practice... -_-;;

F.O.B.

F.O.B stands for Fresh of the Boat.

Its a term used mainly for Asians who have just came from their home country to an American speaking country.

This isn't a legit definition but this is my definition of it.
Here's a definition from Urban Dictionary:

FOB - is a degrading term for people not up to date on the culture which is an abbreviation for (Fresh Of the Boat.) meaning you still carry your sense of fashion from your country which clashes with the current countries cultures. I don't believe its a degrading term towards asians but I wouldn't recommend calling random Asian people that.... (please) But I use it in a way to call Asian fashion. So if you see me using the term fobby a lot its because I'm into fobby fashion and so are my friends. But I also like all sorts of fashion! So you will probably see a wide variety of fashion picts later~~ This is an example of fobby fasion ^^

hobbies.

So. I would say I have a lot of hobbies. two of them include reading manga and watching anime/asian dramas. Manga's are so much fun! and from manga comes anime! Anime and manga aren't as weird as most people think. okay... a lot of people who like anime and manga can be a little different... but that doesn't matter.... ^^
now asian drama's is like coke without calories...wait... but with the same taste, not dietcoke. In truth they are a great way to escape reality without drugs. I'm pretty sure a lot of people watch dramas because they know it will never happen to them so its entertaining to watch it happen to other people, but it's also painfully envious of the main actress who has like 5 different cute guys that like her. Anyways! recent drama's that i love are:

King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo

Kim Tak Goo just ended with 30 episodes... I know its a lot but its AmAZing!!

My other favorite is- Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Omg. I only started watching this because it had Micky Yoochun from TVXQ in it but then all these other cute guys appeared and then it has a pretty good story plot! so far there are 6 episodes!!! It's so good~ if your interested in watching click!
